Customs broker in Galați — the Danube ports of Galați and Brăila

Galați is a port region. Goods arrive and leave by river-sea vessels and barges on the Danube, and the customs work follows the ports. Our Galați office serves:

• The Port of Galați — import, export and transit formalities for goods loaded or discharged in the port.
• The Port of Brăila — the same operations for vessels calling at Brăila, a short distance upstream.
• The Galați Free Zone — entry and exit of goods in the free zone, where non-Union goods can be stored or processed without payment of import duties until they are released for free circulation.

• Physical inspection — we present the goods when customs decides to inspect and coordinate handling with the terminal, warehouse or carrier.
• Transit to and from the rest of the network — goods cleared at Constanța or Bucharest can be moved under transit to Ploiești or Galați and vice versa, with the declarations handled by our own teams at both ends.
• Advice before the shipment — HS classification, origin, licences, certificates and the documents your supplier must issue.

How the operation runs

1. You send us the commercial documents (invoice, packing list, transport document) and, for a first operation, the contract or power of attorney and your EORI number.
2. We check the documents, classify the goods and tell you in advance what duties and VAT will be due and whether any licence or certificate is missing.
3. We lodge the declaration at the competent customs office — Ploiești, Galați or Brăila — as soon as the goods are presented.
4. If customs asks for a documentary or physical check, the local team handles it on the spot.
5. You receive the release and the customs documents needed for your accounting.
